Going Fishing and I Want (To Keep) My TechTV

This Friday my "buds" and I are headed for the old fishing hole! After a grueling "entry" into the Fall term at UNCG, and with all the different things I do to make a living, I can't wait to get out there and catch a few (or not).

And now, I hear that TechTV may be sold (again)! Paul Allen (cofounder of a little company called Microsoft), the guy who owns the company that owns TechTV, wants to sell. With a new owner, this could be the end of my favorite shows - like The Screen Savers and Call for Help, Noooooooo! Read more about this from the guy who knows....

Back To School

I'm back teaching at my other campus, UNCG. The last few nights I have had to do the whole "intro to the course/instructor" thing. It's always funny to see the expressions on my student's faces as I announce the expectations I have of them for the term....

Lucky to Have Power in North Carolina!

Judging from this picture - I say were lucky to have power!

I feel so sorry for the people who don't have power in the northeast United States. Last winter we lost our power for almost three days, due to our power lines being down.

I sure know what it feels like:(
